Dr. Ashar Mahmood
Founder, SHARE Welfare Society (1977 – 2020)
Dr. Ashar Mahmood, born on December 23, 1977, in the village of Kot Shahan, was a visionary leader dedicated to serving marginalized communities. Losing his father at a young age, he faced personal hardships that shaped his empathy, resilience, and lifelong commitment to helping vulnerable populations. In 1995, he began volunteering with social and medical organizations. In 2001, he was elected as a local councilor. He established free dispensaries, provided medical care, food assistance, and humanitarian support. Dr. Ashar Mahmood passed away on June 16, 2020, but his legacy continues to guide SHARE’s mission.
